Viewers of Late Late have praised the ‘absolute treasure’ Imelda May after her worthy performance of ‘goosebumps’ on tonight’s show.

Viewers were “crying out” at the “goosebumps” inducing poem by the Irish singer.

Appearing with an ensemble of Irish celebrities for the Late Late busk tonight, Imelda sang Raglan road alongside Finbar Furey, Shane MacGowan and a variety of other Irish legends.

Imelda also shared a very special poem that she wrote specifically for the occasion.

Fans of the RTE show quickly took to Twitter to congratulate the singer on her heartwarming poetry.

One user wrote: “Jesus, but @ImeldaOfficial he is an incredible poet, much less a musician. Beautiful words “.

Another added: “Oh @ImeldaOfficial I’m roaring #LateLateShow. ”

A third said: “Imelda May is an absolute treasure.”

A fourth tweeted: “Imelda May never stops giving me goose bumps.”

One last fan wrote: “Effortless to @ImeldaOfficial and @FinbarFurey about him #LateLateShow Awesome version of one of my absolute favorites: Raglan Road. ”

Meanwhile, other viewers were equally impressed with the rest of tonight’s show. The special is held to raise money for The Simon Community.

One Twitter user said: “Wow! The musical talent in @RTELateLateShow It’s amazing, I really miss a high stool, some live music, and a song. Gaybo would have loved this! And all for a great cause @CommunitySimon#LateLateShow. ”

Another added: “We really have incredible talent on this little island! Wonderful! Great show and we only have one song! Fantastic! @Glen_Hansard#LateLateShow. ”

For the first time in ten years, due to social distancing restrictions, Glen Hasard was unable to go to Grafton Street on Christmas Eve for a busk with a variety of well-known musician friends to raise money for the homeless in Ireland.

This year, to raise much-needed funds, The Late Late Show will bring the magic of that Grafton Street night directly into the spectators’ homes instead of the usual open-air event.
