Laura Whitmore has confirmed that she and Iain Stirling are expecting their first child together.
The Love Island host shared the wonderful news with her Instagram followers amid rumors that she and her boyfriend got married in a secret ceremony during the confinement.
She said: “So I have always tried to protect the personal side of my life. Many things are only for me and my loved ones and we have decided not to share publicly.
“I want to share some good news now though, as this is our news to share, and I’ll be honest, it starts to look like my closed beer belly is out of control.
“Iain and I are expecting a baby in early 2021. It has been difficult to keep such happy news a secret.
“Especially the times I’ve run out of live radio to get sick in a trash can or my fondness for a bowl of mashed potatoes in the morning.
“He wasn’t hungover like everyone thought. In fact, he was completely sober filming the entire Celeb Juice series, which is quite a compliment!
“We would appreciate our privacy being respected, but we just wanted to spread a little love and a reminder of the beauty of life.”
The celebrity couple reportedly tied the knot in a small ceremony in Dublin, in accordance with Covid rules.
But the Irish beauty responded this morning before announcing the news of her baby saying that she will share her “personal news” herself.
Laura tweeted: “A little thought in the day … If I ever have personal news that I want to share, I will be the one to share it.”
The Love Island stars reportedly married quietly in a humanistic ceremony at Dublin City Hall on November 11.
Last year, the announcer and actress revealed that she suffered a miscarriage in the past, weeks after discovering she was pregnant.
In a personal essay for Hot Press magazine, she detailed her surprise to discover that she was expecting her first child, the difficulty in hiding her pregnancy, and the moment the doctor told her the baby had no heartbeat during a scan.
