Dublin Drugs: Gardai Corner Arrested Man When ‘Large Bags Of Cocaine’ Seized In Major Coolock Operation

Gardai arrested a man and seized € 64,000 worth of cocaine following an intelligence-led operation in North Dublin yesterday.

The massive sting, which targeted the sale and supply of drugs in Coolock, took place at 9pm when a man was arrested and searched on Greencastle Road.

Officers found eight large hidden bags of cocaine in his possession weighing about 1 kg in total.

The arrested man in his 30s is currently being questioned at the Coolock Garda station.

A spokeswoman told Dublin Live: “Investigations are ongoing and no further information is available at this time.”

He added: “Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drug Unit carried out the surveillance operation.

“The arrested man is currently in custody under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.”
