People all over the world will be able to receive virtual hugs from Adam King this Christmas.

The six-year-old, who suffers from brittle bones syndrome, stole the hearts of the nation when he appeared on the Late Late Toy Show in late November.

Host Ryan Tubridy was in awe of the adorable young man, who brought with him his ‘virtual hug’, which he gives to people due to the pandemic.

And now An Post has given Adam his own postmark, so his hugs can be shared with millions of people around the world.

Adam catapulted himself to national (and international) stardom two weeks ago when he shared his dream of becoming a space explorer of some variety.

On the Toy Show, host Ryan Tubridy was impressed by Adam’s “beautiful” personality, and got to have him on the Late Late Show the following week.

There he received a surprise visit from legendary astronaut Chris Hadfield, who spoke words of encouragement and hope to Adam and his family.

Adam met Chris alongside his brothers and sisters, and the brothers huddled together on the video call to have a heartwarming conversation with the famous astronaut.

He asked Chris, “Were you scared on your first space mission?” – one of several amazing questions in a beautiful conversation between the couple.

“You have your whole life to prepare,” Chris said, in a beautiful response.
