Gardai is calling for witnesses to come forward after an elderly woman died after a car accident.
The shocking collision occurred on Albert Road Lower in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, at 7.45pm on Sunday.
The driver, who was 80 years old, died two days after the tragic incident.
The driver of the second car was injured, while the third vehicle, which was parked, had no one in it at the time.
A Garda spokesperson said: “The Gardaí is asking for witnesses regarding a serious traffic collision that occurred on Albert Road Lower in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin on 5 December 2020 at approximately 7.45pm.
“Three cars were involved in the collision. One of the drivers, a woman in her 80s, was taken to Hospital San Vicente for treatment. The woman died two days after the incident.
“The driver of the second car was unhurt. The third car involved, which was parked, had no occupants at the time of the collision.

“Gardaí is calling for witnesses to this collision to come forward. Gardaí is also appealing to road users who may have camera footage (including dash cam) and who were traveling in the area between 7:35 AM and 7:30 AM. 7:50 pm to make this footage available to Gardaí.
“Anyone with any information should contact Dun Laoghaire Garda Station at 01 666 5000, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.”
