Manchester United reportedly lowered Paul Pogba’s sales price ahead of the January transfer window in an attempt to ditch the midfielder.

Mino Raiola’s latest comments have infuriated the United hierarchy according to Sun, who claims the club will now ask for ‘only £ 50 million’ for the World Cup winner.

Pogba, who was the world’s most expensive player when United brought him back to Old Trafford from Juventus in 2016, has started just five Premier League games this season.

The downgrade is likely to tempt Juventus, which has been linked to a swap deal.

It will see United lose most of £ 40m of their original £ 89.3m investment, but with Pogba’s contract expiring in 2022, United does not believe his form will improve enough for his price increases significantly.

So, with United willing to cut ties with Pogba’s agent Raiola, selling him in January may prove the club’s best option.
