Two men have been arrested after an alleged sulky race in Co Limerick.
The incident occurred on the N24 Tipperary road shortly before 8 am on Saturday.
Officers approached the group allegedly involved in the race, and two of the vehicles sped away.
The two cars sped through the town of Caherconlish at “high speed” while the gardai followed them from a safe distance.
Other units from the Garda station on Roxoboro Road spoke to everyone on Tipperary Road and an investigation is currently underway.

The two vehicles that left the scene were found in Caherconlish shortly thereafter and two men, both in their 30s, were detained.
They were taken to Roxboro Road Garda Station, where they are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act of 1984.
Speaking at the Garda station on Roxboro Road, Superintendent Dermot O Connor said: “The Gardaí in Limerick City have been particularly vigilant regarding horses that are not being kept under proper control or where they are being neglected or abused.
“Moody racing on a public road is illegal and dangerous for all road users and can put horses under tremendous stress.
“Gardaí will investigate all incidents of danger, illegal races in a bad mood and where animals are being abused”
