Temperatures will drop to -3 ° C this weekend as dense fog sweeps across the country.
Met Eireann has issued a yellow status warning for the fog, which will become a prominent location across the country starting at midnight.
A spokesman for the national forecaster said: “Rain buds are clearing in the inland counties this morning, and they are drying mainly with the development of sunny spells.
“However, torrential rains in the West Coast counties and scattered rains in the East Coast counties will continue for much of the day.

“This night was very cold and mostly dry with clear spells. However, isolated rains will continue in the counties on the east and west coast.
“The lowest temperatures of -3 ° C to + 2 ° C, the coldest in the northern half of the country. A generalized frost will develop overnight and a dense fog will form in many areas with light or variable northern breezes. “.
It looks like Sunday will be another icy day, and even more fog is expected to hit parts of the country.
“A cold, icy day will start tomorrow with a heavy fog that lingers throughout the day, although there will occasionally be sparkling spells,” the forecaster said.
“A mostly dry day with isolated showers along the east, west and north coasts. Higher temperatures of 2 ° C to 5 ° C generally with variable light breezes, but a degree or two softer near the coasts.
“Later in the evening, the rain will move west and southwest from the Atlantic.”
