Tottenham are back on the market for a £ 25 million forward dubbed a Carlos Vinicius upgrade, while Liverpool are set to let two attacking stars move on, all at Euro Paper Talk on Friday.
SPURS RETURNS TO SERIES A STAR
Tottenham reportedly back on the market to sign a forward in January which is seen as an improvement in Carlos Vinicius.
José Mourinho was looking for a new substitute striker during the summer and finally got Vinicius on loan from Benfica.
The Brazilian has been used primarily in the Europa League, but has barely appeared in the Premier League due to the excellent form of Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min.
He scored his first two goals for the club in the European clash against Ludogorets, but was absent due to an injury such as Spurs drew 3-3 against LASK Thursday night.
Despite being at the club for the remainder of the campaign, with an option to buy, AS claims Tottenham are back in place of the Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik.
The Polish hit man was believed to be Mourinho’s first choice before Vinicius’ arrival, but the Spurs were unable to reach an agreement.
Since then, Milik has been frozen in Italy and claimed in October that Napoli “had not treated him well.”
The report claims that Spurs, Everton and also Atlético de Madrid are still on the market for the 26-year-old, who scored 14 goals last season.
An offer in the region of 27 million euros (24.3 million pounds sterling) is believed to tempt Napoli to sell, although it remains to be seen whether the Spurs will focus on adding a new center-back in his place.
Mourinho is currently managing without the injured Toby Alderweireld, while Davinson Sánchez has been shaky in his performances this season.
That puts more pressure on Joe Rodon’s summer signing to deliver. The Welsh star is new to the Premier League but impressed against Chelsea in his full debut.
