NPHET’s latest informational update will take place in Dublin tonight.
Health chiefs will give an update on the Level 3 restrictions that went into effect Tuesday, with restaurants and pubs with kitchens opening tomorrow.
Further figures on the number of deaths and cases related to COVID-19 are also expected to be released when the briefing begins around 5.30pm.
In attendance will be Dr. Tony Holohan, Medical Director, Department of Health, Dr. Ronan Glynn, Deputy Medical Director, Department of Health, Dr. Colm Henry, Clinical Director, HSE, and Professor Philip Nolan, President of NPHET Irish Epidemiological Modeling Advisory Group.
A convoy of nine freezer trucks arrived in Ireland to deploy the Covid-19 vaccine.
Taoiseach Micheal Martin revealed that specialized containers are waiting at Citywest to deliver the hits across the country.
Mr. Martin also promised that they will be delivered free to all.
The news came as the UK yesterday became the first country to give the green light to the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. It will be implemented here within days of EU approval, which is expected on December 29.
