A TRIAL DATE has been set for a woman accused of murdering a man who was trying to start his car to go to work.

Christina Anderson, a 38-year-old mother of three, will stand trial at Dublin’s Central Criminal Court on March 7, 2022.

Judge Paul Coffey said that if the parties agree that the trial will be short, they can go back to court and ask for an earlier date.

Anderson is accused of murdering Garreth Kelly (39), who died of stab wounds following an incident at Brownsbarn Estate, Kingswood, Co Dublin, on the morning of February 25, 2020.

Tallaght’s father of seven, who lived in Clondalkin, was trying to start his car to go to work. He had stayed with his partner on the farm in a small cul-de-sac.

At approximately 7 a.m., he suffered stab wounds, collapsed and died in the street between two cars.
