Ryan Tubridy Says Toy Show Bug Was ‘B-Bomb, Not F-Bomb’

This year’s Late Late Toy Show was a huge success for Ryan Tubridy and RTÉ.

The shows annual charity appeal it raised 6.4 million euros and there were no interruptions to the show, well, almost.

A clip of the host letting his guard down momentarily went viral when Tubridy cursed after spilling some bubbly orange.

However, he is just a human being and Tubridy did not bother at all while hosting another blockbuster show on his RTÉ 1 radio show today.

Speaking of the expletive, Tubridy said: My phone melted. “

However, he claims it was not the expletive that most people think he uttered.

“Listen carefully,” he said, adding that it was a “B-bomb” that rhymes with “pollocks.”

Since then, the clip has been removed from the RTÉ Player. Tubridy said she is “not an angel”, but the mistake did nothing to take away from the show.

The volume of donations made on Friday night caused the system to collapse, prompting an intervention by the Irish brothers behind the online payment platform Stripe.

The multi-billion dollar Silicon Valley business is owned by Limerick brothers Patrick and John Collinson.

During the show, Patrick tweeted to say that they had multiplied the RTÉ Toy Show’s appeal capacity by five, in addition to donating € 100,000 themselves.

Patrick wrote: “The @Stripe team only quintupled the capacity for the RTE Toy Show appeal. We are not seeing any problems at this time.

“By the way, John and I will also personally donate € 100,000 for the appeal.”

More than a million people tuned in to the show, which had a theme based on the work of Roald Dahl.

Viewers were overwhelmed when an “inspiring girl”, Saoirse Ruane, was introduced to them.

She boldly opened up about the need to have her leg amputated as a result of a tumor last year.

It was after Saoirse’s appearance that Ryan Tubridy launched the appeal, which saw donations flood in.
