Galway star Joe Canning and Limerick sniper Aaron Gillane will remain in the hospital overnight after injuring themselves in Sunday’s All-Ireland senior hurling semifinal at Croke Park.
Canning will remain concussed overnight after he delivered a heavy blow in a collision with a teammate late in the game.
Gillane is under observation with a back injury.

Appearing on The Sunday Game, Wexford’s manager Davy Fitzgerald got lyrical about the Tribe’s sensational forward.
“The best striker I’ve come across,” Fitzgerland said.
“He has a pair of hands that are gold, he can do anything with them. I just wish Joe would recover quickly tonight, play again because there is only one Joe Canning and we would love to see him play again.”
Limerick booked their place in the All-Ireland final with Waterford next month after a three-point win over the Tribesmen.
