Ireland’s winning Cork footballer, Paul Kerrigan, has retired from the inter-county scene after 13 years of service.
The 33-year-old made his senior debut in 2008.
In 2010 he was part of the Cork team that beat Down in the final in Ireland.
The Nemo Rangers clubman played for the Rebels in Munster’s semi-final loss this season to Kerry, but was a crippled substitute in his shock loss to Tipperary in the final.

Kerrigan also had a 2007 All-Ireland U21 medal and represented Ireland in the International Rules series.
His retirement means that Ciaran Sheehan is the only remaining player from the 2010 vintage still in action with Cork.
