Ireland Weather: Met Eireann With Bad Warning As Expert Tweets About ‘Blizzard Hell’ In Dublin

Met Eireann has another risky warning for parts of Ireland, as expert Carlow Weather tweets about “snowstorm hell” in the next nine days.

Friday will start cold with fog and frost and turn into a rather dull day with isolated showers on the coast.

Temperatures of 4 ° C will drop suddenly to -2 ° C overnight and remain mostly dry under clear skies with the risk of fog forming in dense patches.

Elsewhere, there is a yellow fog status warning for Cork, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford with a risk of heavy fog until 10am this morning.

It also comes when expert Carlow Weather spoke of an “outlier” in his forecast that showed a “snow storm” in the coming week.

Carlow Weather said: “The night run of the ECMWF model shows a storm in 9 days with snow.

“* However * the sets show this to be an outlier.

“That is the main run shown which is very out of line with the average of the weather models. The black line in the first photo shows this.”

Here’s what the weekend and the beginning of next week look like according to Met Eireann:

morning: “Saturday will be cloudy with irregular light rain and drizzle at times. Temperatures will be between 5 and 7 degrees overall. Winds will be light to moderate from the east.”

Saturday night: “The outlook for tomorrow night is for fairly cloudy conditions to continue, with erratic rains at times in the north-west of the country, otherwise it will be mostly dry. Overnight temperatures will remain unchanged or even rise a bit, generally between 6 and 8 degrees with light winds from the east. ”

Sunday : “There will be isolated showers but generally a dry day with predominant cloudy conditions. Temperatures will be between 9 and 11 degrees with variable light; winds. Temperatures will drop overnight to between 3 and 5 degrees.”

Monday : “It will be mostly dry with brighter morning weather in the south and east for a while, clouds in the northwest will bring bouts of rain there, otherwise a generally dry day again with temperatures of 9 or 10 degrees in a moderate wind from the southwest, sometimes cool in the north. Little change in temperatures during the night, as it remains cloudy but largely dry. ”
