Donald Trump says he will leave the White House if the electoral college votes for Biden

Donald Trump has admitted for the first time that he will leave the White House if the electoral college votes for his rival Joe Biden.

President-elect Biden, a former vice president, won the election 23 days ago and his victory has been certified in almost every swing state.

But Trump has continued to make wild and unsubstantiated claims of widespread voter fraud.

He has refused to budge despite the fact that he and his supporters lost 38 separate lawsuits, all alleging various electoral problems.

Yet speaking on Thanksgiving, the 45th President of the United States said, “I certainly will, and you know it,” when asked if he would leave the White House if the electoral college voted against him.

“If they do, they have made a mistake,” he added.

Answering questions at the White House, Trump was asked if he will attend Biden’s inauguration on January 20. He replied, “I know the answer, but I don’t want to say it yet.”

Trump is already said to be formulating plans to run again for the Republican nomination in 2024.

For the past four years, he has shaped the match in his image with his son Don Jr and daughter Ivanka, who also considered considering entering the contest to usurp Joe Biden four years from now.

Joe Biden, with Kamala Harris as his running mate, circled the key states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin and Michigan, along with a surprise victory in Arizona.

This gave the president-elect 306 electoral college votes, many more than the 270 required, compared to 232 for Trump.

This was enough for Biden to get a victory in the electoral college and a resounding victory with the popular vote, obtaining more than 80 million votes.
