Although Ireland saw an increase in our latest daily Covid-19 cases, most counties are showing positive signs.
Despite the fact that the National Public Health Emergency Team announced 269 new infections on Wednesday, the incidence rate across the board has fallen again, now at 105.5.
Dublin appears to be stabilizing after seeing only 88 new cases, while four counties managed to have none in the past 24 hours.
In fact, 18 counties had fewer than 10 cases, a significant improvement from just a few weeks ago.
But Donegal and Louth continue to show some worrying signs, remaining the only two counties with an incidence rate greater than 200 per 100,000 residents.
The death toll here now stands at 2,033, while the total number of cases has risen to 71,187.
Of those diagnosed in the last 24 hours, 146 were women and 123 were men, while 64% were under 35 years of age.
The average age of those infected during the same period was 35 years.
At 2:00 p.m., 260 patients are hospitalized with the virus, 36 of whom are in intensive care.
There have been 23 additional hospitalizations in the last 24 hours.
