These were the scenes on a crowded Grafton Street as a large group of adults danced and sang in good spirits under the Christmas lights, with many disregarding the COVID-19 rules.

The images obtained by Dublin Live show revelers living it on the main commercial thoroughfare singing the Oasis classic Don’t Look Back In Anger.

The crowd has apparently gathered around a couple, who dance and lead the circle of up to 40 people in their interpretation of the iconic choir.

You can see some plastic cups to carry in people’s hands.

Gardai told Dublin Live that there were no major break-up incidents on Grafton Street, although an incident was reported on South William Street last night.

Gardai “asked a small crowd to disperse,” they say, before adding that a ll complied and no arrests were made.

On Sunday, health officials announced 318 new cases of the coronavirus in Ireland.

That brings the total number of cases in the country since the pandemic began to 70,461.

There has also been one more death from COVID-19 in the country.

So far 2,023 people have sadly lost their lives as a result of the disease.
