Jordan North is best known for his radio work in the UK thanks to his show on BBC Radio 1.
But since he hit our screens on Sunday night for I’m A Celebrity, the DJ is the only thing to talk about in recent days.
From throwing up on the side of a cliff to going to ‘his happy place, Turf Moor’ to tackle terrifying snakes, Jordan has already provided some stellar TV moments – and it’s only been four days!
But Jordan is not the only member of his family to have appeared on television.
His older brother, Ryan North, works in the military and, although he does not have a career in broadcasting like his younger brother, he has often appeared on television.
Ryan serves in the 2nd Battalion of the Parachute Regiment as a sergeant, following in the footsteps of Dad Graham, who served in the Queen’s Lancashire Regiment from 1982 to 2006.
He has been very successful in his work in the Armed Forces and was featured in the ITV documentary The Paras: Men of War.
The show aired last year, and Jordan described it as a “brutal, honest and fascinating glimpse of the most elite regiment in the British Army.”
In 2017, Jordan appeared on the BBC to talk about what it was like growing up in a military family and admitted that it was not something he mentioned often.
To mark Remembrance Day, Jordan spoke with Ryan about what he would be thinking during the two-minute silence.
Ryan told him, “I served in Iraq and Afghanistan and lost friends and colleagues. You never forget them, but Remembrance Day gives you a chance to reflect a little.
“But it is not just for the people I have lost. It is for the people who have fought in all conflicts, from WWI and WWII to the most recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
Since the radio host joined I’m A Celebrity as a camping partner, Brother Ryan and the other members of his family have been very supportive.
However, they are not sure if they will be able to overcome their fears.
His mother, Wendy, told The Mirror that she is voting for Jordan to do the Bushtucker trials.
She said: “It’s terrible because I don’t know whether to vote for him or not to vote for him, I don’t know if I’m doing the right thing, but I used the five votes against him. Thing like a mother?”
“I love him to pieces, but he’s a perfect bitch when he’s cold. He just doesn’t talk to anyone. He just walks in on himself and walks away. That could be tricky around the campfire.”
I’m A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on Virgin Media One.
