A total of 954 Covid-19 outbreaks were linked to private homes in the past week, according to data from the Health Protection Surveillance Center (HPSC)
There were 12 outbreaks related to workplaces in the last week and 15 outbreaks related to community outbreaks.
Schools accounted for 10 outbreaks in this same time period, while universities accounted for just three.
The HPSC said that in total, 273 Covid-19 outbreaks have been reported in workplaces as of midnight on Nov. 14.
They said 89 reported Covid-19 outbreaks involved various food and beverage-related industries, of which 55 were in meat, poultry and fish processing plants.
In the last week there were three outbreaks in meat, poultry and processing plants, while four outbreaks occurred in businesses associated with the construction sector.
Vulnerable populations
The HPSC also monitors Covid-19 outbreaks in vulnerable populations, including those in the Roma community, the Irish travel community, outbreaks at direct supply centers, facilities for the homeless, and those in distress. addiction, as well as prisons.
Overall, seven new outbreaks were reported in vulnerable populations last week. Four outbreaks were identified among members of the Irish travel community.
The HPSC said two of the outbreaks occurred in HSE East, one in HSE South and one in HSE Northeast. They also said that one of the outbreaks in HSE East involved 23 linked cases.
There was an outbreak among members of the Roma community this week and there were two outbreaks in the Direct Provision Centers.
Tonight, the Health Department confirmed another 12 deaths and 379 additional new cases of Covid-19.
It means that there have been a total of 2,006 Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland.
