Gardaí is asking for witnesses after a man was found alongside his bicycle in the town of Nenagh who had suffered serious head injuries.
Gardaí said the serious single-vehicle traffic collision involving a bicycle occurred at approximately 3.20 p.m. on Sarsfield St in the town of Co Tipperary.
The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was taken to Limerick University Hospital with serious injuries, having been found on the ground next to his bicycle.
The road was closed pending a technical examination by forensic collision investigators and local detours were set in motion.
Gardaí in Nenagh is asking witnesses to come forward and is also asking road users to have camera footage (including dash cam) traveling down Sarsfield Street from 3:00 pm to 3.20 pm p.m
