Several parts of Munster have been affected by flooding tonight, including the city and county of Cork and Limerick.
The River Lee broke through the wall on Clark Bridge in downtown Cork at high tide and caused some localized flooding.
Morrisons Island, in the center of the city, also suffered some flooding, but Gardaí said there are no major incident reports so far.
Gardaí has reported heavy flooding on Strand Rd in Carrigaline and flooding was also reported on R612 between Carrigaline and Crosshaven.
Significant flooding has also been reported on Bailick Rd in Midleton and motorists were advised to take alternate routes for a time.
High tide is expected again at 5.30am in Cork city center.

The Cork City Council had warned of a flood risk today and tomorrow due to high tides.
In Limerick City, excess surface water has been reported along the Clancy Strand after the River Shannon overflowed.
The council was notified and motorists were warned to be careful in the area.
Met Éireann also issued a series of Status Yellow wind warnings today.
