Met Eireann issued a yellow wind warning for Cork and the rest of the country tonight.

Strong and gusty winds are expected from southwest to west with speeds in excess of 90 km / h.

The warning was issued at 7 p.m. and is in effect from 11 a.m. tomorrow to 3 p.m. tomorrow afternoon.

In addition to Munster, the warning extends to Leinster, Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.

There is also a gale warning for marine vessels with winds reaching the force of eight gales tomorrow in Irish coastal waters from Howth Head to Roches Point to Erris Head and into the Irish Sea.
