Winger Jacob Stockdale and blocking Iain Henderson have been excluded from Ireland’s first Fall Nations Cup clash with Wales at Aviva tonight.
Andrew Conway, who is not in the original game day team, replaces Stockdale but will start on the wing, with Hugo Keenan moving to 15.
Quinn Roux replaces Henderson in the second row, with Tadhg Beirne elevated to a spot on the bench.
“Henderson has a medical problem that ruled him out, while Stockdale developed calf pain and after a scan he was ruled out of the game this weekend,” the Irish Rugby Football Union said in a statement.
