Liverpool star Gomez underwent successful knee tendon repair surgery

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez has had surgery on the Knee injury suffered during training in England. on Wednesday.

The center-back damaged a tendon in his left knee and has had a successful procedure to repair the problem.

The Reds have confirmed that there was no ligament damage, but did not set a schedule for his return.

A statement on Liverpool’s Twitter account read: “@ J_Gomez97 today underwent successful surgery to repair a tendon in his left knee.

“The problem was isolated in the Gomez tendon, with no damage to any other associated knee ligaments and Joe will now begin a rehabilitation program with our medical team.”
