Gary Neville insists that Manchester United must “get rid” of their inconsistency to ease the pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the players and the club as a whole.
United’s season has had its ups and downs, to say the least, with Solskjaer a genius one week and a dead man walking the next.

The latest setback, the loss to Istanbul Basaksehir, was followed by a 3-1 win over Everton on Saturday.
And Neville believes that as long as the inconsistency persists, so will the pressure on Solskjaer and speculation about his future at the club.
Said in Gary Neville’s podcast: “I was glued to the television from 11:30 a.m. M., Thinking about the game, thinking about the week before, and you think: ‘We need a performance here, Ole needs a performance, the club needs a performance, the players need a performance.
“They are left behind, and I think United won deservedly in the end.
“They are so inconsistent. If you think about the last week, the performance against Leipzig, PSG, against Arsenal, in Turkey, they have to get rid of that, it’s going up and down.
“It is something that will always put them under pressure as players and as a coach. You need consistency, ultimately that’s what a champion should be, and right now they are inconsistent. “
