Rio Ferdinand is frustrated by the “lack of respect” shown to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and says Manchester United “have not had any discussions” with Mauricio Pochettino about the possibility of replacing the Norwegian.
Defeats to Arsenal and Istanbul Basaksehir increased the pressure on Solskjaer, relieved a bit with a 3-1 win over Everton on Saturday.

But Pochettino has been constantly linked to United and some reports suggest the Argentine has been approached amid Solskjaer’s continued inconsistency at Old Trafford.
But Ferdinand affirms that everything is pure speculation and he says it in good faith that nothing “like this” has happened.
Speaking on his Instagram story, the United legend said: “He’s a bit disrespectful to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, if I’m honest.
“People are promoting that they have spoken with Pochettino and stuff.
“I have a very, very, very good source that there have been no conversations or anything like that.”
Solskjaer used his post-match interview after the win over Everton to express your frustrations on Premier League programming, which saw the match at Goodison Park played just three days after their Champions League defeat.
But Ferdinand suggested that it was a tactic to steer the narrative away from his own struggles, telling BT Sport: “This happens in the best clubs. We’ve all been to, say, Ukraine and then played out at Newcastle on a lunchtime kickoff.
“That is an integral part of it. I understand your frustration because we used to moan: You want the league to be a little lenient and say, ‘We’ll give you a little more time.
“But it wasn’t the case and you have to move on.
“His frustration is that the players get injured, but he also controlled the narrative during that interview.
“You have talked about what you wanted to talk about and that is something that a lot of top managers have done in the past.
“It takes away maybe from the other things that were happening before the game, but the result is the end and he got the result he needed.”
