Joe Biden will soon become the next president of the United States with Donald Trump ousted from the White House.
The news is being covered by almost every news organization in the world and each is trying to get its own unique angle on it.
But one of those newspapers and websites that you wouldn’t expect to get a lot of attention from the race is the Clare Echo, given that they compete with the NY Times, NY Post, Guardian, etc.
But a funny headline has made them the talk of Twitter.
Following a recent trend on social media, which caused the Daily Record in Scotland to refer to Lionel Messi as a former Rangers target in a headline, Clare Echo opted for something similar.
The headline of his tweet, which has received more than 8,000 likes, reads: “West Clare Hotelier Loses in US Presidential Election.”
Of course, Trump owns a hotel in Doonbeg, but he wouldn’t normally be his main topic of conversation.
And many people praised the local account for a “quality tweet.”
One user said that Clare Echo “won Twitter” at night and another labeled it as “something beautiful.”
