Phibsborough body investigation: man charged on suspicion of murder of victim in his 40s

A man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a man’s body in North Dublin on Friday.

The body of the man in his 40s was found in a house on Auburn Street in Phibsborough two days ago.

The victim appears to have suffered several different injuries and may have been the victim of an assault.

His body was transferred to the Dublin City Morgue, where the State Pathologist’s Office conducted a post-mortem examination yesterday.

A man, who is also 40, has since been charged in connection with the find and will appear in court on Monday.

A Garda spokesperson said: “The 40-year-old man has been charged in connection with the discovery of a body in a house on Auburn Street, Dublin 7 on November 6, 2020.

“He is currently detained and must appear before the Criminal Justice Courts, Court number 1 on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 10.30 am”
