2020 US Election Result: Seven Things You Missed Overnight As Joe Biden Closes In On Victory

Joe Biden delivered a near-victory speech as he approached the White House overnight, despite desperate tweets from Donald Trump alleging conspiracy and fraud.

If you’re just waking up, you’ll find it remarkable that outstanding statuses haven’t finished counting yet, but the former vice president’s path to victory seems increasingly likely.

Biden is now winning in all the key states and his advantages are increasing except in Arizona, where Trump is waiting to see if the votes will be enough to outpace his rival, or if it will matter in Electoral College terms.

Trump has indicated that he will fight to the bitter end, having laid the groundwork for his allegations of possible fraud in the run-up to the election.

However, US reports suggest that the president is dissatisfied with his current legal team and lacks an overall strategy for taking the White House into the courtroom.

Joe Biden gave a speech that sounded very presidential, but he’s not there yet

Biden addressed an election-weary nation late Friday night and delivered a speech that was not entirely a victory.

He has yet to be projected as the overall winner, but his path to the presidency is clear.

“Democracy works,” Biden said from his Delaware headquarters with his running mate Kamala Harris nearby.

“Your vote will be counted, I don’t care how they try to stop it, I won’t let it happen.”

US Election Recount Worker Forced To Hide Over False Conspiracy Theories

A poll worker in Georgia is ‘in hiding’ after a video falsely accusing him of fraud went viral.

The video revealed his personal information, including his car registration, leaving him fearful of using the vehicle, a local official said.

He had been wrongly accused of ruining and throwing a ballot in the clip, which was widely shared on Twitter.

Supervisor of Elections Rick Barron said, “He’s in hiding.”

Trump campaign sends desperate email asking for cash to take election to court

The Trump campaign is sending supporters emails asking for more donations to fight the presidential election result in court.

Screenshots surfaced on social media showing an email warning a subscriber that the message would be their “last warning” after they “ignored all emails asking to defend the elections.”

The email, sent by the Trump campaign, continues: “You have ignored the Trump team, Eric, Lara, Don, the vice president AND you have even ignored the president of the United States.

“Tens of thousands of Patriots have stepped forward for the first time in the last 48 hours, why haven’t you?”

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows has coronavirus

Donald Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows, contracted the coronavirus.

The key aide briefed a close circle of advisers after the elections.

In addition to Meadows, a Trump campaign aide, Nick Trainer, is also infected with Covid-19.

Meadows, 61, was in the White House residence on election night huddled with Donald Trump, Ivanka, Jared Kushner and Donald Trump Jr, according to Olivia Nuzzi of New York Magazine.

Meadows last appeared in public, with Trump, early Wednesday morning, unmasked.

Donald Trump warns Joe Biden not to claim electoral victory

Donald Trump has warned Joe Biden not to claim the presidency within days of falsely doing so himself.

On Election Day, with the Trump campaign ahead in several key states, the president came out and claimed that he had won them, even though not all votes were counted.

Now, as they are counted and it becomes increasingly unlikely that Trump will win re-election, he has baselessly asserted that there is electoral fraud.

… because Trump has no plans to voluntarily leave the Oval Office

Donald Trump will barricade himself inside the Oval Office and refuse to come out if Joe Biden wins the election, according to a US media report.

It seems increasingly unlikely that the president of the United States will win re-election, but he has vowed to take the election to court because he has been “duped.”

There is no evidence of any widespread election fraud and Biden currently leads the popular vote by approximately 4 million votes.

What happens next if Joe Biden wins the American election? Timeline of how he will replace Donald Trump

Joe Biden is likely to be the 46th president of the United States, as he seemed certain that he would deny Donald Trump a second term in the White House.

But he wouldn’t take over right away.

The president-elect has to wait until January to be sworn in at the grand opening.

But between now and then, several things are supposed to happen.

Biden will establish his transition team. Usually there are meetings in the Oval Office between the president and the president-elect.

And there are a number of things that are likely to happen simply because the man leaving the White House is Donald Trump.
