Met Eireann has warned of a drastic change following news that a -32 ° C ‘polar air mass’ would hit Ireland.
The experts explained that the cold air system would bring unusual conditions to about 5.5 km above the surface.
A forecaster said Tuesday: “A cold polar maritime air mass is over Ireland. The graph shows temperatures below -32 ° C at about 5.5 km above the surface.
“This system of icy cold over warm seas creates ‘deep convection’ that creates turbulent conditions.
But while there will be frost in Dublin tonight, the subzero temperatures forecast at the start of the week for the next few days have faded.
There will be clouds, but some sunny periods today with temperatures higher than 10 ° C that will drop to 0 ° C and remain dry tonight with some frost and patches of fog.
