The number of new confirmed Covid-19 cases in Limerick has returned in double figures with 28 cases of the virus reported this Wednesday night.
The 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 population in Limerick is now 227.8, while the national incidence rate is 212.7.
The Center for Health Protection Surveillance has been notified of eight additional Covid-19-related deaths across the country.
The HPSC has also been notified of another 444 confirmed cases of Covid-19 nationwide.
The number of new confirmed Covid-19 cases in Limerick was in single figures on Tuesday for the second time in four days.
Only six new incidences of the condition were reported at tea time on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, of the cases reported nationwide today;
208 are men / 235 are women
61% are under 45 years old
The average age is 37 years.
158 in Dublin, 48 in Cork, 36 in Galway, 28 in Limerick and 174 cases spread over 19 other counties.
There are now a total of 63,483 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.
As of 2:00 p.m. today, 310 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, of which 41 are in the ICU. 25 additional hospitalizations in the last 24 hours.
