When will people receiving pandemic unemployment pay receive a Christmas bonus in Ireland?

A 100% Christmas bonus will be paid in early December 2020 to people who earn PUPs for at least 4 months.

An income threshold of € 480 per month will be introduced for freelancers earning PUPs to allow them to take advantage of occasional job opportunities and maintain their PUP.

Self-employed persons who resume their business activity on a limited or reduced basis when they leave PUP will be eligible for the Part-Time Work Incentive program.

PUP is paid every Tuesday into a bank account in the state.

Weekly COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) payment:

Starting October 16, 2020, people earning € 400 per week or more will get a PUP rate of € 350 per week.

People who earned between € 300 and € 400 will now receive € 300 each week, while those who earn between € 200 and € 300 will receive € 250.

Anyone who has received a payment of less than € 200 will now receive € 203.

The COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment will continue to be paid until April 1, 2021, but will close for new applicants at the end of 2020.
