Domino’s Pizza has announced the creation of 715 jobs nationwide, including new management positions, team members and hired drivers.

Domino’s already employs nearly 2,000 employees and contract workers in its 85 Irish stores.

Dominic Paul, CEO of Domino’s Pizza Group, said it was a privilege to be able to offer hundreds more people the opportunity to become a member of the company’s staff.

“The creation of more than 700 new roles will help ensure that we continue to serve our local communities safely as we head into a busy holiday period,” Paul said.

The company also said that the well-being of both staff and customers is paramount for Domino’s, and even more so in today’s environment.

The company has introduced measures such as contactless collection and delivery, and said all workers are trained in Domino’s “rigorous” hygiene and food safety procedures.

Domino’s said it also installed Perspex displays in all stores, while limiting the numbers allowed in the customer area and requiring face masks in the store to ensure the safety of all its staff and customers.

In a separate jobs announcement today, Pfizer said it is creating around 300 jobs at its manufacturing plants at Grange Castle in Co Dublin, Newbridge in Co Kildare and Ringaskiddy in Co Cork.

The US pharmaceutical company said it is investing around 300 million euros in its Irish operations to support further development of the three sites.

The investment and hiring of the new jobs will be completed in the next two to three years.

An American company that provides communication software to hundreds of international companies will also create 200 jobs in Galway.
