A fundraiser has been launched to help the tragic victims of a gruesome murder in a South Dublin home to return to India.

Autopsies on Seema Banu, 37, Asfira Riza, 11, and Faizan Syed, 6, were completed yesterday, and sources said all three were strangled.

Their loved ones are asking the Irish government to help bring their bodies home, which could cost € 18,000.

And a GoFundMe link has been established to help raise the funds to give the young family the send-off their family desires.

Claire Tobin, who created the fundraising page, says she has no connection to Seema or the family, but has contacted the Indian embassy to try to get all the donations for Seema’s family.

So far € 1,500 has been raised and you can donate yourself by clicking the link here.

Seema and her family were originally from remote Mysore in southern India.

Seema moved here with the children and her husband Sameer Syed, 36, in February from her native India. They had lived in Dubai for a while until Sameer got a job here. Seema’s cousin told RTE News that she and her children missed them terribly.

Sufi Masood added: “I used to talk to everyone and make sure their life went well.

“Even though he was in Ireland, he used to talk to us all the time.

“The children are very charming and they used to spend most of their time with their grandmother.

“When they were here they used to go places and play with the children. We miss you so much.

“We would be grateful for our lives if you could send our loved ones back to our family so that we can see them one last time.”

Officers continue to interview witnesses and record CCTV footage, but no arrests have been made.

A man has reported to a Garda police station accompanied by a lawyer and is assisting with consultations.

Neighbors have been in shock since Wednesday when details of the tragic deaths emerged.

The alarm was raised when the family had not been seen for several days.

Armed officers forced entry into the home to discover Seema in a bedroom with a ligature around her neck.

His children were found dead in another room.

Sources said all three showed signs of strangulation. The taps in a bathroom had been left open, flooding the house and damaging the floor.

Seema’s husband and the children’s father were not at home when Gardai made the discovery.

On Wednesday night, agents had contacted Syed, who is in Ireland on a work visa.

The Indian embassy here has contacted Seema’s mother and brother. There has been a great show of sympathy for the children and their mother.
