Hundreds send messages to the mother as Kanturk’s second funeral takes place today after the shooting

Hundreds of people have been sending messages of support to Ann O’Sullivan following the horrific deaths of three men in Kanturk this week.

Tadg O’Sullivan and his two sons Mark and Diarmuid were killed in a triple shooting at a remote farm in Kanturk, Co. Cork.

Both Tadg, 59, and Diarmuid, 23, were buried Friday afternoon and Mark will be buried Saturday.

The church heard Friday how a community is “struggling to make sense” of the tragedy that struck the local area.

A condolence book has been created for the three who died at Rip.ie there were hundreds of people texting mother Ann O’Sullivan.

Many, friends and strangers alike, have written long paragraphs while trying to support the woman who left the hospital after a serious illness a few weeks ago.

A concerned mother wrote in RIP: “Dear Anne, I wish I could get under that cross and help you carry it.

“I pray that God gives you the shoulders to bear it. The whole country is praying for you and crying for you. People forget that the mind can get sick like any other part of the body as it happened in this terrible tragedy.

“After reading the condolences, you had a lovely family, but unfortunately tragedy struck. I pray that you will get over this by remembering the beautiful memories of your husband and his talented children. I also pray that God will restore you to full health. Sun. “

A Galway mother, mother of two, added: “Dear Anne, I never met you, heartbroken for you and your family, your handsome son Mark, I can’t get your smiling face out of my head, but today you have a daughter. , a mother, a sister, one of thousands in Ireland, crying for you, thinking of you all week, will walk with you today and hold your hand.

“Such an indescribable tragedy, words fail me, in my constant thoughts, and prayers.”

A Longford mother said: “Dear Mrs. O’Sullivan, there are no words that can comfort you over this terrible and tragic event that affected your family. Sending you our sincerest condolences and prayers for the anguish of your suffering.

“God grant you the strength to help you overcome the heartbreaking pain you are going through. I will keep you in my prayers. I am so sorry that you have this great loss.

A separate funeral for Mark will be held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kanturk, at 3.30pm on Saturday.
