Mikel Arteta has praised Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for improving Manchester United’s attack.

Marcus Rashford has scored seven goals this season, while United have had nine other scorers in all competitions.

United’s three first-choice forwards, Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood, combined for 62 goals in all competitions last season and the club has now added Edinson Cavani to its ranks.

Arteta’s Arsenal face Manchester United on Sunday and must be particularly concerned about facing Rashford in his current form.

Man United v Arsenal: one great game, five great questions

“They create really good relationships and they are all very different,” Arteta said. “They glide together, they have very good understanding and chemistry on the field. You can see that.

“Since the blocking, Ole has managed to improve that a lot and you can see at the end of [last] season, the number of goals and the types of goals they scored. They are a threat.

“They can play two or three different formations… they have been changing some things for the rivals, for the quality of the players they have and sometimes for changing the game at certain times.

“We have to be prepared for that because they have that ability to adapt, they have a great team and up front they have many options to do different things.”
