Meath GAA confirmed the news tonight that Graham Geraghty’s operation at Beaumont hospital today has been a success and the winning All-Ireland SFC 1999 captain is making a good recovery.
Geraghty was flown to Beaumont yesterday after being taken to Navan Hospital after collapsing from work Tuesday night.
Today he underwent an operation and so far everything indicates that the procedure has been successful.
Meath GAA tweeted that they had “good news”
The club adopted by Geraghty from Clann na nGael in Athboy also tweeted their joy at the news of the success of the operation.

The two-time Allstar also received best wishes from his local club, Seneschalstown.

There was a great outpouring of goodwill towards the legend of Meath, a two-time winner from all over Ireland, with good wishes coming from every county in the country.

Armagh All-Ireland winner Justin mcNulty also tweeted his best wishes to Geraghty and that tweet was retweeted by another Armagh stalwart, Steven McDonnell.
The father of four, Geraghty won two SFC All-Ireland titles with Meath along with two Allstar Awards and three SFC Leinster crowns.
He also played for Ireland in the International Rules series between 1999 and 2006.
