Gardaí is investigating the deaths of a woman and two children in south Dublin on Wednesday.

A house was closed at a Ballinteer and Gardaí is investigating whether foul play was a factor in the deaths.

It is understood that the deceased are a mother and her two children, both of national school age.

“Gardaí is currently at the scene of an incident on a residential property in South Dublin where the bodies of two children and one adult have been discovered. No further information is available at this time, ”Garda headquarters said in a statement.

The deceased was married and lived at the Ballinteer property with her two children, a boy and a girl.

The first signs suggest that the neighbors worried about the well-being of the woman and their children and raised the alarm.

When the house was entered, the bodies of the mother and her children were discovered, and the scene was sealed.

The State Pathologist’s Office was reported and the remains of the woman and her children were still at the scene Wednesday afternoon, where they were expected to undergo a preliminary examination by a pathologist later that day.

Members of the Garda Technical Office should also examine the house.
