GARDAÍ SAID that they launched an investigation yesterday into the organizers of a protest in front of a Garda station in Dublin.

The demonstration took place in front of Rathfarnham garda station. A garda spokesman said it appears to be related to the arrest of a man on foot from an arrest warrant that was executed earlier that day.

The man, who was arrested on the way to a protest in the city center, was detained at Rathfarnham garda station.

Gardaí said this morning that the man has been charged and must appear today before the Criminal Justice Courts.

They said the demonstration at Garda station ended yesterday “without incident”.

“An investigation is now underway targeting the organizers of this protest,” said a Garda spokesman.
