Two men are scheduled to appear in Dublin District Court in connection with a shooting that took place in Northside earlier this year.
The men, in their 30s, will appear before Court No. 2, Criminal Justice Courts (CCJ) at 10.30 this morning.
On January 17, two other men were rushed to Beaumont and Connolly Memorial Hospitals after a lone gunman fired multiple shots at the parked car in which they were sitting.
Gardai ran to the scene of the incident on Killeek Lane, St Margaret’s, Swords, County Dublin.
One man was shot up to five times and taken to hospital.
A source had previously told Dublin Live that his heart stopped twice before the heroic workers managed to bring him back to life.
The other man was seriously injured.
Gardai arrested a known drug trafficker along with another man in connection with the brutal attack.
The shooting happened in broad daylight inside a commercial courtyard around noon. Balaclava-clad men tracked down the victims as they drove to the facility on Killeek Lane in the St Margaret’s area near Dublin Airport.
One opened fire on the couple while they were sitting in the front of a blue Mercedes.
The driver was beaten up to five times and was in critical condition after being rushed to hospital.
The man in the passenger seat was shot twice in the back, but was conscious when they took him to an ambulance.
Several people were working in nearby businesses when the shots rang out. The assault team fled the park at high speed in a black Citroen C5 and drove in the direction of Coolock.
A car suspected of being related to the attack was found on fire on Greenwood Avenue, near the main Malahide Road, shortly after.
