Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing joked last week that he has been cutting back on the pies in a bid to be crowned the 2020 Strictly Come Dancing champion.
But that’s not the only change the reality star has made in an attempt to make sure she’s in tip-top health.
Before his planned appearance on the BBC One show last year, which was canceled after sustaining a foot injury at a group dance, Jamie underwent four months of treatment in an attempt to control his IBS (IBS syndrome). irritable colon).
Jamie, 31, took a crash course in probiotics after revealing how the agonizing condition had caused her many embarrassing moments, even when she was trying to sell her home.
“I was trying to sell my apartment, but I had to poop, and I ran out the door and they were coming in and I was like ‘Oh God, they’re going to the bathroom, please don’t go to the bathroom,’ and then I couldn’t. come back in, ‘”he shared on his Private Parts podcast.
It’s also not Jamie’s first stomach-related health crisis.
In 2017, he was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery on Christmas Eve after suffering extreme stomach pains, The Sun reported.
Just hours after tweeting, “I’m not feeling well,” the star shared photos of himself hooked up to an IV drip at Cheltenham Hospital, along with photos of his abdomen covered in surgery scars.
He wrote: “Spending Christmas Eve at Cheltenham Hospital is not the only thing, but at least I have these lovely ladies looking after me.
“I had my little operation. How painful!”
Outside of his television work, Jamie is the heir to McVitie’s estimated 485 million pound cookie fortune.
But with so much cash floating around, Jamie’s father appointed a stern bank manager known as ‘Frank’ to manage his son’s trust fund.
And he is a master of difficult tasks.
“Frank is one of the scariest people, but my dad loves him. My dad doesn’t want to handle my finances so he hired him,” Jamie once told the Daily Mail.
“Our whole family has their money in a private bank and when I get over my allowance, they call me to meet Frank, who I used to try to charm at first, but now that tactic doesn’t work.
“One time I was in Cheltenham and I went to get money from the bank, but my card didn’t work. So I called Frank and he told me that I wasn’t going to get any more money and that I would have to find another way home.
Fortunately for Jamie, he is said to be worth £ 2 million in his own right thanks to his confectionery company, Candy Kittens, and several television appearances.
