Ireland coronavirus: 859 new cases with 192 in Dublin and four deaths

Tonight another 859 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Ireland with 192 in Dublin.

Health chiefs have also announced that, sadly, four more people have died from the disease.

The total number of confirmed infections since the start of the outbreak is now 56,108, while 1,882 people have died from the virus.

Of the cases reported today:

  • 415 are men / 441 are women
  • 62% are under 45
  • The average age is 35 years.
  • 192 in Dublin, 148 in Cork, 58 in Donegal, 55 in Galway, 54 in Meath, with 352 cases spread across 21 remaining counties.
