Two separate Status Yellow wind warnings and one gale warning were issued for eight counties tonight, with Met Éireann noting that winds could reach 110 km / h.

A warning, issued for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Clare and Kerry, goes into effect at 10 p.m. and will last until 7 a.m. tomorrow.

Met Éireann said that winds from south to southwest will reach average speeds of 50 to 65 km / h with gusts of up to 110 km / h.

The meteorologist also said that speeds may be higher in coastal and exposed areas, especially in Galway and Mayo.

The other wind advisory, issued for Wexford, Cork and Waterford, goes into effect at 11 p.m. and is valid until 11 a.m. tomorrow.

Wind speeds will also reach 110 km / h in all three counties, with wind speeds possibly increasing in coastal and exposed areas.

A rain advisory has also been issued for Galway and May, which will go into effect from 9pm to 9am tomorrow.

Rain will cause accumulations of 20 to 40 mm.

Higher amounts are expected in mountainous areas and will bring a risk of localized flooding and an increased risk of flash floods in mountainous areas.

Met Éireann has also issued a gale warning for tonight in Irish coastal waters from Roches Point to Slyne Head and Malin Head, extending to all coastal waters and the Irish Sea overnight.
