A MAN HAS been arrested in connection with the assault on LGBTQIA + rights and repealed the eighth activist Izzy Kamikaze last month.
The incident followed clashes between an anti-mask group and a counter-protest outside Leinster House on September 12.
One of these groups was a protest against restrictions and masks that started at Customs House Quay and moved to Kildare Street. The other was a pro-mask counter-demonstration that started on O’Connell Street.
The two groups clashed as counter-demonstrations against the anti-mask group passed through Leinster House, forcing the gardaí to intervene.
Kamikaze, who said she was an observer at the protest, received a serious head injury and later attended Tallaght Hospital.
The Gardaí carried out an investigation at the Garda station on Pearse Street, leading to the arrest of a man in his 20s this morning.
