The investigation into the disappearance of Jo Jo Dullard 25 years ago has been updated to a murder investigation.

The 21-year-old disappeared from Moone in Co Kildare in 1995.

He was working at Callan in Kilkenny and traveled to Dublin on Thursday 9th November.

He missed the last direct bus home that night, so he took a bus to Naas and then took two elevators to get to Moone.

While she was in a phone booth in Moone telling a friend where she was, a car pulled up for her and that was the last heard of her.

The status of the case changed after an examination by the Serious Crimes Review Team.

While it was long suspected that Ms. Dullard suffered some harm when she disappeared, this has now been officially and formally acknowledged with the case updated to one of murder.

The case was examined by the felony review team, following a meeting between Dullard’s sister, Kathleen Bergin, and Garda Commissioner Drew Harris.

Gardaí and the family will renew their appeal today for anyone with information about the disappearance and violent death of Ms. Dullard to come forward.

They hope it will help establish what happened to the young woman and who killed her.
