Fans in stitches after cameras capture Liverpool’s Cork goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher ‘nap’ on the bench during the Merseyside derby

There was nothing between Liverpool and Everton after a captivating Merseyside Derby today, but don’t ask the favorite Cork goalkeeper what happened because he may not be able to tell you.

Rival clubs played a fiery 2-2 draw at an empty Goodison Park as the hosts leveled twice to ensure they got a share of the loot.

Goals from Sadio Mane, and then Mo Salah, were disallowed by Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin before there was even more drama when Jordan Henderson’s goal in the 90th minute and the celebrations were canceled by the VAR bosses.

Liverpool have since asked Prem’s bosses to investigate the decision, as well as an earlier incident in the game in which Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford hit Virgil van Dijk but escaped punishment due to already an offside flag had been raised.

The Dutch defender had to be retired after the wild tackle.

Despite all the action on the field, our own Caoimhin Kelleher managed to get attention despite not going up.

They sing ‘keep your head up’ on the red side of town, but that was too much for the 21-year-old who was caught on BT and looked like he was deep in his midday nap.

The hilarious screenshot shows that the plug doesn’t look too stepped as it sits behind a much more frantic looking Jurgen Klopp.

Kelleher had been called to the bench after the club’s first choice Alison Becker was injured, and he would have been called quickly if something had happened to Adrian, who was on his feet.
