Dominic West and his wife Catherine Fitzgerald reportedly left the UK and flew to Ireland, where they took refuge in the castle where they were married.
The actor’s marriage came into the spotlight this week after he was photographed kissing his co-star Lily James, 31, in Italy over the weekend.
Yesterday he went out for a photo shoot with Catherine in front of her home in Wiltshire.
After kissing for the cameras, they held up a handwritten note stating that their marriage was still “strong” and that they were still “very” together.
Now the Mail Online reports that the couple packed their bags and left their home in Wiltshire and flew to Ireland with their four children.
The couple own Glin Castle in Limerick, which has been in Catherine’s family for generations and was the site of their wedding in 2010.
The post reports that Dominic and Catherine plan to spend the next mid-term break at the castle with their children, where they can enjoy some time out of the limelight.
Catherine grew up in Glin Castle and her father was the 29th and last Knight of Glin.
After her death, Catherine’s mother Olda decided to sell the castle, so her daughter and her actor husband stepped in to buy it and keep it in the family.
They have since turned it into a hotel and wedding venue, as well as keeping part of it as a family home.
Dominic and Catherine dated from college and were married at the castle in 2010.
They have four children together, their daughter Dora, 13, their son Senan, 12, their son Francis, 11, and Christabel, seven.
The Wire star is also the father of another daughter, actress Martha, 22, with ex-girlfriend Polly Astor.
Dominic was photographed kissing his The Pursuit of Love co-star Lily during a trip to Rome on Sunday.
They are believed to have grown closer after being forced into a bubble so they could film the show over the summer.
Lily is believed to be single after splitting from her boyfriend of five years, Matt Smith, last week.
Since then, she has returned to work and participated in a video call to promote her new film Rebecca, a new adaptation of Daphne du Maurier’s classic novel.
He stars alongside Armie Hammer, who plays the role of the widower Maxim de Winter made famous by Laurence Olivier in the Oscar-winning 1940 film version of Alfred Hitchcock.
Armie shared an image from a video call she participated in with Lily and stated, “Press tours are so glamorous in 2020.”
