The GAA has announced that only yellow sliotars will be allowed for the 2020 GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship.

The last two Fenway Classics performances in the United States have tested a yellow sliotar and the association has said that sliotars with white leather cannot be worn for the next championship, including the provincial qualifiers.

In a regulation scheme for the condensed season, a water break will be applied between the 15th and 20th minutes of each half once the referee has signaled that the ball has gone out of play after a scoreboard, wide or during a stoppage.

The break should not last more than one minute and the players approach the area in front of their team area and use clearly marked personal bottles, or single-use bottles should be used for fluid intake.

The regulations also stipulate that the role of Maor Uisce is not allowed in any of the codes.

In senior matches, a panel of 26 is allowed in the “controlled zone”, and that number is reduced to 24 for minors and under-20s, while backroom teams are allowed up to a maximum of 12 people.
