The Northern Ireland Department of Health has been notified of 1,080 new cases of Covid-19.
No more deaths have been reported, leaving the balance at 587.
Some 5,272 cases have been reported in the past seven days, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the region to 18,190.
The 7-day per 100,000 infection rate in the worst area, Derry and Strabane, is now 824.3.
Meanwhile, the Northern Ireland prime minister said there are “very bad pockets of Covid-19”, particularly in Derry, Strabane, Newry and Belfast.

Speaking to RTÉ’s News at One, Arlene Foster said she believes there was a “relaxation” in people’s adherence to social distancing and other public health guidelines during the summer months.
He called on people to “go back to basics” when it comes to cutting off social contacts, washing hands, covering their faces, coughing and sneezing, and social distancing.
Ms Foster also described as “very good” the cooperation between the Stormont Executive and the Irish Government in relation to Covid-19 measures on both sides of the border.
